Clann Z�
Clann Z� formed in Melbourne, Australia at the end of 1999. Featuring 5 Australians and one Irish man, all from various musical backgrounds; punk, rock, folk, electronic, & classical. Clann Z� set out with an agenda to make music without boundaries. The vocals provided by Waterford born Declan de Barra are bilingual [Irish and English].From beautiful dark melodies to intense spiraling instrumentals, Clann Z�'s music is decidedly original. The live shows can only be labeled "intense". It has been through a combination of these moving live performances that Clann Z� quickly earned themselves a loyal following in their home town of Melbourne. 2001 saw their debut self-titled EP released in Australia to rave reviews as well as a steady flow of live shows.
Clann Z� relocated to Ireland early in 2002 where they completed their debut album Rua.
May 2002 saw Clann Z� play their first live shows in Ireland headlining Galway's Dominica Festival to a rapturous response.
