Living Opera: A free event for kids, families, and educators

Event Description

Dive into the world of new opera creation with teaching artists Geoff and Nadia!

In this hands-on workshop, students will work together to imagine their own story using characters and themes from three new operas for young audience currently in development.

Using a famous opera melody as a jumping off point, students will explore the art of libretto creation by writing lyrics inspired by their story and hear them performed by a real life opera singer!

This workshop is appropriate for students in grades 3/4/5, and children are encouraged to bring their adults along for this special presentation.
