Kicking Horse Culture and the Golden District Community Foundation are proud to partner to bring you this unforgettable night of Halloween celebration. There’s so much in store:
From the Depths: Community Priorities Unearthed. 6-8 pm

The graveyard you won’t want to miss…As part of the event, GDCF is excited to share the results of the Vital Pulse Survey the community helped shape back in June 2025, along with sneak peeks from the 2025 proposed projects — presented with a spooky twist! You’ll get to see how past input is shaping today’s community and how your voice truly makes a difference.
A haunted house! 7-9 pm

Enter if you dare… the Haunted House is stirring to life downstairs at the Civic Center – not for the faint of heart!
The Great Hall will be electric with a live performance, costume competitions, and dance. Music begins at 7:30 pm! Doors at 7.

Live on stage Stubbs and The will be bringing a high-energy performance to keep the vibes hauntingly good all night long. Expect a night of funky, spooky tunes that’ll have the dance floor alive (or undead). Stubbs and The is a multi genre theatrical musical experience. A group of five hooligans performing eclectic music in over 10 different languages and stylings. Hailing from the small mountain town of Rossland, BC, Stubbs and The have taken their ridiculously entertaining live shows to every corner of Canada as part of their 51 show 2023 Canadian Summer Tour.
Don your best disguises and enter our Costume Competition, points go to unique local flair!

Categories include:
“Inside Out: The Human Body” Come dressed as organs (heart, brain, lungs), muscles, bones, or even cells — showing how the body works and stays healthy.

Best Sustainable DIY Costume – Reduce, reuse, and resurrect. Break out the glue gun and go wild. Craftiness counts!

Best Golden-Inspired Costume – A nod to the people, wildlife, legends, or landscapes that make Golden one-of-a-kind.Prizes and bragging rights await! Whether you’re a ghoul, glam witch, or golden grizzly, come out and show us what you’ve got. Costumes will be judged throughout the evening, so come dressed to impress.

Proceeds from the event will go into GDCF’s Arts & Culture Fund to support future creative endeavors in Golden and Area. A special thank-you to Columbia Valley Credit Union for supporting this initiative. We’re so grateful for their community spirit!
