Event Description
Singer-songwriter and screen composer Alex Whorms crafts music that blends indie, alternative & pop into a truly unique and intimate sound!
Alex Whorms (pronounced warms) crafts music that is a genre unto itself. The singer-songwriter and screen composer flawlessly blends indie, alternative, pop, jazz and cinematic styles into a sound that is at once intimate, anthemic and unforgettable.
Based in Hamilton, Alex has released three EP's, won a Hamilton Arts Award and played major festivals including Toronto Pride, Supercrawl, and Canadian Music Week. Her work has appeared on over 30 CBC Radio shows and on national TV. She has composed the soundtracks to award-winning documentaries and, as a contributor to CBC Music, she writes articles and appears on camera to share stories about Canadian music and culture.
Her newest EP, Daylight Chasing Dusk, is a turning point - a leap into a more vulnerable indie-alt sound. Her live performances channel that same honesty and drive, welcoming listeners who are ready to embrace their shadows and move forward with their jagged edges intact.
The Arts & Life Circle is a gorgeous, renovated church located in Roblin, Ontario, just north of Napanee. The space is intimate and resonant, just the perfect size for listening and dancing with new friends and music-lovers from all over Lennox & Addington!
