A moving songwriter and compelling guitarist, critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Claire Coupland combines smooth folk finger picking with soaring melodies and a dose of jazz-school chord changes. Claire has been relentlessly touring and appearing in festivals all over Canada, the US, and the UK, drawing audiences into her intimate and heart wrenching performances. Her album “New Light” delivers carefully crafted, vulnerable reckonings of self-worth, escaping abuse, fragile family dynamics, and, ultimately, hope for the future. Her music has had steady CBC & BBC UK airplay, and rave reviews from music publications around the world.
