Introducing: BC Buds

Event Description

BC Buds is a jazz collective formed of rising musicians from British Columbia, and will be showcasing the music of legends such as Art Blakey, Cannonball Adderley, and Roy Hargrove. The group was formed in Montreal in 2019, where members attended school at McGill University together. Since graduating, they have continued to develop musically with each member being at the forefront of the Canadian jazz-scene, performing across the country at various venues and festivals. The ensemble focuses on the highly interactive and energetic music of past and present jazz giants and delivers it in a fresh, high-spirited fashion. With members now spread out all across the globe (New York, London, Montreal, Vancouver, Victoria) this concert is a special reunion for the group and is surely one not to miss!
