Pat Johnson is a veteran musician and one of the most well-known guitarists in Eastern Ontario. He's built his following playing up to 80 shows a year, and even authored an acclaimed book on fingerstyle playing. And then there are the albums, most notably the solo records Songs From The Town Boredom Built (2003), Pitchin’ Day (2006), and Stumps (2018).
Billy MacInnis—also known as Stompin’ Tom’s fiddle player (for 9+ years )—has performed from coast to coast. He has shared the stage with many esteemed Canadian artists, including Lennie Gallant, Rita MacNeil, Shane Pendergast, John Allan Cameron, Whiskey Jack, Tim Huss & Prairie Oyster.
Pat & Billy's partnership began in 2019 when recording Billy’s album Strings Attached at Pat’s studio by Charleston Lake, Ontario. Live performances ensued until the global shutdown sent them back to the studio to produce Pat’s album Come On In My Kitchen, released in 2021. Pat produced Billy’s 2023 single Morning, Afternoon and Night.
They are itching to get back to performing live. There will be fiddle tunes, folk, country, and likely some blues. Lots of strings are working overtime.
