Join us for dinner and stay to catch two forty-five minute sets with a little break in between. The quartet be starting just before 8 pm and winding down by 10 pm.
Mark Ferguson is a pianist, trombonist, composer, arranger, producer, and music educator. He has performed with many of the world’s great artists including Ella Fitzgerald, Tony Bennett, Gil Evans, Nelson Riddle, Dionne Warwick, Natalie Cole, Tom Jones, Rosemary Clooney, Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, Gino Vanelli, Rob McConnell & the Boss Brass, Holly Cole, Manteca, The Funk Brothers, the National Arts Centre Orchestra and the Toronto Symphony Orchestra.
The Mark Ferguson Jazz Quartet is comprised of Mark Ferguson (piano and trombone), Mike Tremblay (saxophones and flute), John Geggie (double bass) and Jamie Holmes (drums). This stellar ensemble will perform original arrangements of classics from the songbooks of Canadian folk icons Gordon Lightfoot, Leonard Cohen and Joni Mitchell. Prepare yourselves for a surprisingly fresh take on signature compositions that have been indelibly imprinted on our collective musical conscience by some of the finest jazz musicians in the business.
