Victoria Folk Music Society weekly gathering: Everyone—welcome Jam at 6:45pm, Open Stage at 7:30pm, Feature Performers Terry Boyle & Ceilidh Briscoe at 9:00pm; Friendship Hall (Norway House) 1110 Hillside Avenue, $8 cash at the door

Bridging the gap between the east coast of Ireland and the east coast of Vancouver Island, between a song and its story, between a tune and its tradition, come two of the finest exponents of their respective crafts –Terry Boyle, native of Dublin, singer, guitar player, song writer, and Ceilidh Briscoe, native of Victoria, BC, fiddler extraordinaire. Terry has a vast repertoire of Celtic songs as well as a wealth of his own fine writings, while Ceilidh, currently a member of the Victoria Symphony Orchestra, is a five-time North American Fiddle Champion and an All-Ireland Fiddle Champion. Together, they present a dynamic performance of songs and tunes, exhilarating , free flowing, and immensley entertaining!
