Bardavissa is a contemporary folk trio from Cobble Hill and Campbell River featuring a combination of complex vocal harmonies supported by intricate guitar playing. Formed in September 2024, the band’s style is ‘contemporary folk’, meaning the roots of their songs are consistently grounded in traditional styles while incorporating contemporary elements. Bardavissa is: Elissa Barron (vocals) the principal songwriter in the trio who draws on personal experience and family stories for her songs; Barbara Denz (vocals) who began choral singing at age 5 along with an early introduction to the folk music her mother loved; and David Denz (guitar, vocals) who started playing folk and classical guitar as a teenager but quickly branched out in all kinds of directions. The trio is an ideal setting for David’s love of traditional music, writing, and arranging for voices, performing original and traditional songs along with covers of songs by personal friends of the group.
For physical events that happen at a specific time. For example a concert, or dance performance. If there are multiple shows, you can still duplicate your event to cover them all.
