Victoria Folk Music Society(VFMS) weekly gathering -- Everyone-welcome jam 6:45pm, Open Stage 7:30pm, Feature Performers Bijoux du Bayou at 9pm; Friendship Hall, 1110 Hillside Avenue, $8 cash at the door
Bijoux du Bayou presents their new show, Canadian Jewels (Bijoux du Canada!?) a show full to the brim with Canadian songs (60's to now) by artists that really helped make Canada the wonderful place it is today. Both classics and lesser known hits will stir old memories and build audience appreciation for the modest but rich culture that Canadians are known for. Don't miss this warm, fun trip down memory lane with Sam Torrance (guitar, bass, accordion, flute), Mike Regimbal (guitar, bass, fiddle, mandolin), Marisa Cococcia (bass, flute, melodica, percussion) and Michael Ayotte (percussion, cajon) Great Canadian Folk tunes as only Bijoux du Bayou can play them!
